Recommendations For A Hair Loss Health Guide

Posted under hair-loss by Jessica Colby on Sunday 27 June 2010

There is something about a full head of shiny healthy hair that looks good on anybody, is there not? Conversely, dull, drab, and dieing hair makes us wonder if someone is sick or something. At the risk of sounding rude, rapid hair loss reminds folks of chemotherapy or some other tragic health issues at work. Is there even such a thing as a hair loss health guide?

A healthy head of hair indicates a healthy state of being, so if you have suffered any radical changes in the growth, or no growth, of your own, please be advised to get professional help. A qualified medical assessment may be in order to determine any root causes of the problem in order to protect all of you, so be wise and get advice.

Also, it is sad to note, some types of loss are genetic in nature and no doctor can help at all. Male-patterned baldness is handed down genetically and there is as of yet no cure for it. It can be sometimes slowed, but never reversed. There are techniques for adding and rearranging hair, but that is another topic for another time.

What is being discussed here are ways to insure a healthy crop on your scalp, and ways to insure it stays that way over time. A healthy lifestyle will produce the best results of the stuff sprouting out of your head, and a holistic approach is probably the best one. So where do you begin?

Know first what the glorious stuff is composed of, and that is protein. Proteins enter the body as food, gather together and die, then get pushed out through the skin as your long lustrous locks of wonder. So you will certainly want to get enough edible protein in your body to get it growing out of your body. Eat plenty of lean meats and plenty of beans in order to do so. They are also good for muscles, so eat up to power up.

You bushy hairdo also requires the same sorts of vitamins and minerals as your skin and fingernails, so you will do well to follow the same old advice you have been hearing all along. That is, eat your vegetables. In particular, you will want to focus on vegetables that have the deepest, richest colors to them. Deep dark greens, yellows, reds, and oranges are all good for you; they taste great, and are usually available year-round.

And, like the skin here too, plenty of water is good for everything that grows on your body. Water is like the oil in a machine, it keeps everything lubricated and flowing smoothly. You hair needs good skin to grow through and plenty of water can only help. Go beyond the eight glasses a day, and you will do well.

The bottom line, or the top line as it were, is that healthy bodies grow healthy heads. A hair loss health guide is a good overall guide to health. Follow the tried and true medical advice, see a physician when necessary, and your do will do for you.

Hair Loss And Nioxin

Posted under hair-loss by Abel Alexander on Wednesday 23 June 2010

Several months ago I started losing so much hair because of stress. It was alarming for me because I have always had a thick hair. It is so thick that it is actually the envy of my a lot of my friends and colleagues. I also had falling hair but it was nothing beyond what is medically acceptable. My doctor said the cause is stress. It really manifests in different ways, this is how it manifested on me.

The doctor asked me to do a balanced diet, relax a bit more, take vitamins with a lot of zinc and change my shampoo. I learned about Nioxin online.

She recommended a shampoo but she said I can choose anything that is not that heavy on chemicals. Apparently, the ones that are being advertised on the market are really heavy on chemicals. Even if they are cheaper than others, they can really damage the hair.

I have been advised to not shampoo my hair everyday as that could even be more damaging because of the heavy chemicals that it has. So I shampoo four to five times a day. Other shampoo gives me dandruff but not the Nioxin Cleanser.

I have never used any other hair growing product so I cannot claim that Nioxin is the best in the market but I can say it does the job. It stops falling hair and it makes your hair grow back again. I would, of course, suggest that you still check with your doctor if you are to use any hair product. The last we want is to create a problem where there isn’t any.

It is naturally more expensive than most shampoos but that is worth it considering what the product will do to you. Hair is an important thing. It is your crown.

The Real Reasons Behind Your Hair Loss

Posted under hair-loss by on Wednesday 23 June 2010

Nearly one fourth of all men experience male pattern hair loss (MPHL) by the age of 25. This percentage increases to nearly 50% by the age of 40.

Understanding what normal hair growth and its life cycle may make it easier to spot irregularities in your own hair patterns. Nearly 100,000 strands of hair (on average) cover the scalp at one time. It’s a common misconception that activities like washing your hair too often can make a noticeable difference in hair thickness. Typically, 10 percent of the hair on your head is “resting” and slowly falling out over weeks or months while the other 90 percent is continuing to grow.

When we get older, the pigment begins to strip out of our hair resulting in a gray color while the thickness of the individual strands begins to diminish. For people experiencing male pattern hair loss, the roots become less secure in the scalp due to excessive thinning and they fall out more readily as a result.

While family history is the main reason for developing male pattern hair loss, there are some less obvious reasons for why you may be noticing more hairs in the shower drain or on your pillow each morning. The following are common reasons most men experience hair loss:

Sudden Illness: When the body experiences health trauma, it becomes stressed out and hair may grow weak and shed.

Stress: The most frequent of stress related hair loss is referred to as telogen effluvium. When the mental or psychical stress weighs on the body, the typically 10% of resting hair is increased to a higher number, leading to a larger percentage of hair abandoning the scalp.

Hormonal Imbalance: The thyroid gland, which controls hormone regulation, is often to blame for hair loss in people who have hypothyroidism (under-active gland) or hyperthyroidism (overactive gland). Other hormonal changes, like pregnancy in women for example or low testosterone in men, can cause a loss of hair as well.

Medication: One possible side effect of many medications is hair loss and this has been most closely associated with heart medications and blood thinners.

Infections: Fungal or other scalp infections can kill off hair follicles, leading to an increase in hair loss.

Hair Loss Treatment For Men - 2 Male Hair Loss Products Compared!

Posted under hair-loss by Charlie Jackson on Monday 21 June 2010

No guy likes to lose his tresses, especially if he’s still very young. In fact hair loss can be rather a shock when it just unexpectedly creeps up on you. Thankfully though nowadays there are a few tried and tested hair loss treatment for men existing on the marketplace. Below i will offer a quick review of 2 of them. Just remember that before going on any hair loss action that you talk to your health practitioner first.

1. Procerin - Procerin is a natural ingredient which comes from saw palmetto, a type of berry. This particular hair loss treatment for men works by blocking the creation of DHT, the testosterone derivative responsible for men losing their hair. Procerin acts on two fronts by slowing down the hair loss process and also promoting the growth of additional tresses.

Procerin comes in a 2 portion process where you take pills and also spread over a foam to the head. Minor stomach cramps have been noted as a side effect and also a small itching of the scalp is possible. If this occurs just lessen the frequency of foam use. As Procerin works by protecting testosterone, this is to be utilized by men solely! At this time, Procerin is the best selling male hair loss treatment in the world.

2. Ketoconazole - Look out for this ingredient in anti-dandruff shampoos as it’s the main active ingredient in fighting dandruff. It was later on discovered that ketoconazole can fight hair loss but as further checks are still needing to be carried out it’s not allowed to be marketed as such in the US and Europe. Ketoconazole will shortly too be obtainable in pill and foam formats like to Procerin. For the shampoo however, it suggested that you leave the foam on for between 3 - 5 minutes before rinsing for the full effects to be given chance to work.

Due to its ease of access in addition to lack of price, this might quite easily be united with an extra hair loss treatment for men in order to get earlier and enhanced results.

Finally, it’s worth pointing out a small something about exercise. Even though exercise does not precisely produce hair growth, numerous holistic practitioners and all doctors advocate it. Working out serves to improve blood flow, delivery of oxygen to the cells and aids the digestion of foods. These are all things that help the overall physical condition of hair follicles.

Emotional Balance And Its Role In Treating Female Hair Loss

Posted under womens hair loss by Elena Nichols on Friday 18 June 2010

The rhythm of our modern life is far from being calm and relaxed. The world is spinning fast, making people busier and more stressed as seconds pass by. For women this lifestyle is especially challenging. We have to be loving wives and mothers, good at our jobs and also keep our home clean and organized. These responsibilities involve many emotions and lots of sleepless nights. Do you think it’s easy to get married, raise a child, graduate a university and have a prestigious well-paid job? Think again!

Hair loss is a traumatizing experience for any woman. So much in our life depends on our image! Unfortunately, this condition is widely spread nowadays, affecting not only women after their 40s, but also young girls.

Female hair loss can be a result of many factors: hormonal imbalance and genetic predisposition, lack of vitamins and incorrect hair care, harsh medication or severe illnesses. Still, we usually forget about the most important causes of this dysfunction: emotional instability and common stress.

Stress, depression and anxiety are not just pure emotional states. Sadly, they have the power of directly affecting our health by weakening our immunity, altering the normal functioning of our internal organs and destroying the state of our skin, hair and nails.

All the processes in our body - emotional and physical - are connected. I’m sure you noticed that it’s impossible to separate anxiety from the functions of your stomach, for example. If you’re stressed all the time because you have problems at work or at home, don’t be surprised when your hair goes ‘on strike’ and starts falling! This is its way of telling you: ‘Stop, you’re ruining your health!’.

The first thing you should do in this case is analyze your life and your priorities. Is there something more important than your health and well-being? I know that this is extremely hard to do. You have to let go of your stereotypes, of your ego and your lifetime opinions. You should be brave and admit that you are doing something wrong. You should be even braver and raise your awareness until you understand that you caused most of your failures, not your neighbor, husband, friend, colleague or boss.

If a simple change of attitude and a reevaluation of priorities are not enough, consider learning how to meditate or start taking yoga classes. These ancient holistic healing systems will naturally calm your mind and strengthen your body without further affecting your health.

Don’t use medication for calming yourself - you will only make things worse on the long run! Pills don’t make the problem go away, they only hide its symptoms!

A beautiful hair is a sign of a healthy body and a balanced mind. Hair loss, on the other hand, is a symptom that there is a certain imbalance present in your life. Instead of taking ‘hair loss pills’, try to figure out how to improve the overall quality of your existence.

I know that it’s easier to follow somebody else’s opinions instead of thinking for yourself. However, only you can truly understand what’s going on with your life. Don’t lie to yourself - only an objective approach can help you restore your emotional balance and thus your health. Even if a genetic predisposition caused your hair loss, a positive attitude will fasten the healing process, stabilizing the result for a long time.

If you noticed that your hair is getting thinner and it’s hard for you to decide how to solve this problem efficiently, visit Elena Nichols’ website dedicated to a natural approach on female hair loss treatment.

Replace Brand Name Pills With Generic Drugs At An Online Pharmacy

Posted under hair-loss by Jude Nicklos on Wednesday 16 June 2010

Generic drugs are copies of the trademarked drugs you may already be familiar with. The Food and Drug Administration requires that the generic drug be identical in dosage, side effects, risks, safety as well as strength as the patented drug. The active ingredients are identical in both the non-brand and the name brand drug. Sometimes the inactive ingredients may differ, but never the ingredients that make the drug work.

You will notice that the generic medicine may not be the same shape, color and sometimes even the flavor will differ, but know that the active ingredients are the same. The FDA specifically states that the two drugs must not look like exact replicas. In terms of packaging, one way you will be able to tell a brand from a non brand is that the brand name will has more uppercase letters than the generic drug’s packaging. In the case of a non trademarked drug, the name is derived from the chemical formula.

There are several reasons that brand name drugs are more expensive than drugs without a patent name. Prior to a doctor being able to prescribe a drug, the drug must go through many processes to make sure it is safe for humans to take and that it will do what is was meant to do. This takes years of research, trials, marketing and money before the drug is available to the consumer. The original manufacturer then passes the costs of all the trials and research on to the consumer.

Generic drugs become available when the patient expires on a trademarked drug. Drug manufacturers apply to the FDA to be able to make the generic version of a brand name drug. Generic drugs are less expensive because they copy the active formula of a popular drug without having to spend time and money on the research, clinical trials, marketing and other startup costs. The price of generic drugs can also be driven down when there is competition among several manufacturers of non-brand drugs.

Sometimes you will find that both name brand and non name brand are made in the same factory. FDA standards must be met in all drugs that are produced, so the only big difference is the price.

The US allows a pharmacist to substitute a brand name with a generic, without calling the doctor who wrote the prescription. However, this can not be done without the customer’s approval. So, you always have a choice when your doctor writes a prescription for a brand name drug, as long as you feel comfortable with the generic version and want to save money (and if the patent is no longer exclusive).

You may have health insurance that pays for your prescriptions or at least a portion of the cost, so you may not think that brand-less drugs are important to you. However, consider that your copayment will be less with generic and by going with the less expensive medicines you are helping to keep insurance and health care costs down.

Generic drugs may have hard to pronounce names and may look different, but will perform just as well as the brand product and will save you cash.

Coauthor Jude Nicklos devotes just about all of his time investigating pharmaceutical medicines and their sources. Jude’s team would like to aid you on your track to physical rejuvenation by using Generic Drugs. Take a look through an Online Pharmacy right now discreetly!
